Welcome to Mount Horeb Baptist Church
Dear Mount Horeb Worshippers,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I pray that this correspondence finds you and your family in great health and good spirits. I am writing to update you on the current status of the Mount Horeb Baptist Church.
As you probably are aware, our church doors are open for in-person worship. However, I do encourage that you exercise precaution if you plan on attending worship in our church building. If you will be attending, I strongly advise you prepare to do the following:
*Wear a mask or facial covering at all times while in the building(masks are available for those who attempt to
enter without one)
*Be prepared to have your temperature checked prior to entering into the sanctuary
*Be prepared to sanitize your hands upon entrance into the sanctuary
*Be prepared to participate in social distancing once you have been seated
*Every other pew has been blocked off. We are asking that only three(3)persons to a pew unless you are with
*Worshippers are asked to immediately leave the sanctuary and not linger and fellowship once the benediction
has been given
We are not only asking our worshippers to adhere to this request, but we are also giving special attention to keeping our edifice clean and sanitized. We are now doing the following:
*Using UV lamps to sanitize the bathrooms and sanctuary weekly
*Purchased a ULV Disinfectant Fogging machine with the CDC recommended chemicals to clean and sanitize the
*Cleaning and sanitizing door knobs and touch points weekly
I want to be absolutely clear that I am not pressuring anyone to resume in-person worship, to those who are at risk of contacting COVID19 or simply uncomfortable being around groups of people, I get it! Prayerfully, you are enjoying the Facebook Live and conference call worship experience. We are doing everything possible to expand and enhance the presentation of streaming services to our worshippers.
In closing, let me take this opportunity to thank you for your continued financial support to our church. Your tithes and offerings that have been coming by way of mail and electronic giving has been a blessing and has given us the opportunity to handle and maintain the new additional expenses that we have occurred due to this pandemic. As always, please continue to keep your pastor and church before God in prayer. His grace and mercy continues to keep us and overshadow our lives. May God continue to bless you and keep you in His care.
Yours in Christ,
PASTOR GILBERT PICKETT, SR.
