Welcome to Mount Horeb Baptist Church
Grace and Peace My Beloved Mount Horeb Baptist Church family,
I pray that this finds you and your family in good health in the midst of the pandemic and protest that we are currently experiencing.
I want to take this time to personally say, Thank You! For your prayers and your continued financial support of our church, again, I say thank you. God is truly blessing in the midst of the burdens that have been ailing us. I hope that you have been joining us every Sunday morning at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. on our conference call line (605-475-6711 code 2177155), and also on our Facebook Live Mount Horeb Baptist Church Corona page at 10 a.m. to view the worship service.
It is my desire to see each and every one of the worshippers back in our building in the near future. Though our doors have never closed, we have respected the limitations and protocols that have been placed upon us by the Governor and Mayor.
Although I have set a goal of Sunday, July 19th (scheduled date of our 94th Church Anniversary celebration) for a grand re-opening of our sanctuary, I will continue to adhere to the recommendations of
the government and health officials, even though the loudest voice I will listen to is the Voice of God!
We are in the process of having our building sanitized for the second time, floors striped, waxed and cleaned, as well as certain areas of our building painted. More importantly, we will be training church
staff and other church personnel on the importance of helping to maintain social distancing,
assist with distributing protective equipment such as masks and gloves where needed, along with
the proper weekly disinfecting that needs to take place. Your safety will be our main concern while you worship at our church.
Please stay encouraged by knowing that “God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1). Mount Horeb will get through this “perilous time” and I am praying
fervently that you will get through this also.
In closing, as we not only see disease, but also disrespect taking place all around us, let us continue to pray for this world at large. May God’s peace and love continue to overshadow you.
